The DualShock 4 Controller

It was expected that SONY would be presenting a new controller along with the presentation and creation of the PlayStation Four, PS4 for short, sadly only the controller was presented first, and it just so happened that they did, its called the Dual Shock 4, DS4C for short.

Obviously one can see the differences from the Dual Shock 1, 2 and 3, which are very similar, compared to the Dual Shock 4, but let's just note down the additional features.

  • A remodelled body, it's actually a little bit heavier, more comfortable in the hands and actually has more grip, even down to the buttons.
  • A touch pad smacked right in the middle removing start and select.
  • A light Bar, still not settled on how it will work, possibly like on other motion controllers or is it just for faster response times from controller to console? or both actually?.
  • A never before seen little mono speaker, sound straight from the controller, OMG.
  • Another never before seen 3.5mm stereo headset jack built in. (:o)
  • A new share and options button, so I can share my quad feeds from COD Ghost to Facebook immediately, (x.x) *faints*, and I can just view the game or app setting any time with the options button just like that.
The controller gets me all pumped up, and that is just the controller only without talking about the console. I will most certainly purchase a PS4 bundle and it will be second gaming console ever owned.

  4. Alkhem, you seem so excited by the controller. I wonder what will happen when the actual console is released? I guess I will have to just wait and see. Gaming has never been a priority for me, therefore, I may not be able to appreciate the features as you doing are right now.
