iCub?

Humanoid Platform?


Will this be the start of the 2004 science fiction movie "I, ROBOT" ?

Have a look at the video below.


Apparently the little robot has been created by the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) with technological components that allows it to learn and act like a 3 year old child. With robotics and human behaviour mixed, this little humanoid is on the raise.
I'm not sure if it is even worth mentioning but this humanoid can actually bridge the gap of couples that are unable to bring forth a child, but where will that leave adoption?, be a companion or a fun experience for the family. 
The components allows for movement, touching, seeing, hearing, speaking, anything a normal toddler would do.

    yea but it will stay in the toddler stage it can not grow up so therefore getting a human child would be best.

      have you ever seen a midget in real life?..yes they are small,but growing up is not only physical aspect.

    Okay, I think that more and more each day man is trying to play God, so implementing human characteristics in Robots is just the beginning and note to mention they are actually wanting to bridge the gap so that people can adopt these as Children.. I mean come On !! Have you seen the movie irobot...Well its coming to real life in HD
